Anyone else still sitting with a large amount sitting amount under outstanding amounts?

From R3k previously to about 1,2K now

Mine from R1700 to R299. Which is exactly my usual monthly amount, doesn’t make sense since the contract was upgraded before it expired but I can live with it.

My contract expires on the 26th of this month. Outstanding amount is at R259, but the bill is currently at R283..
Previous bills still show R1886 for November.

######################################
R149 - 15.5GB Anytime Data, 550 Min, 500MB Night Data, 50 SMS's * 36.. Product Code: CT00019BF

Deal Structure:
MTN Made for Me XS
500MB Anytime Data + 15GB Bonus Anytime Data p/m
500MB Night Data p/m
50 Any Network Min + 500 Bonus Any Network Min p/m
50 SMS's
@ R149pm x 36 (or R199pm x 24)
+20GB Once off Anytime Data, valid for 30days.

#####################################
R499 Unlimited calls + 55GB.
For clarity its actually Unlimited MTN to MTN (FUP of 3600 Min) + 500/600 All Network Min + 15 GB Anytime Data (+ 40 GB Promo Data = 55GB Anytime Data)
Product Code: CT00021BF

PRODUCT CODES:
Product codes all start with 2020991
You can change the last 2 digits and it will give you other deals as well
It seems possible that devices can be taken with these contracts
Some of the 36 month contracts have 24 month alternatives at R50pm additional, see cancellation note below
I wasn't able to tell which deals were 36 months and which were 24 please clarify before upgrading

CANCELLATION:
Any time = 1 month subscription penalty + current unbilled invoice.
So makes no sense to take the 24 month at a higher rate per month, if you can cancel in anyway when you want for the same penalty. Only difference is that you can "upgrade" earlier on the 24 month contract.

DATA SHARE:
Data share uses non promotional Data, promotional Data cannot be used for Data share, non promotional Data carries over for 2 months, promotional Data not used is forfeited at 30 days. You use promotional Data first, by default...

SUPPORT/ CONTACT
083 135 Call center -> Retentions

Not 100% verified, just sharing, good luck.

Are any of these deals available for Business customers? We switched over to Business two years ago when MTN had no worthwhile deals for consumers. Perhaps move a number back to a consumer account?

What gets me is that I have never missed a payment... How can I have an outstanding amount.

You’re billed in advance for the following month and being charged pro-rata non-special rates for your contract that’s expiring. Request your invoice in the app and you’ll see.

I tried today to get one of these on my Business account, it's not available to us. But I was told by the MTN champion to wait till Friday as it might be passed on to Business renewals.

The reply the MTN Champion at retentions sent:

The 500GB + 500GB night are CBU deals and we currently not open to sell them

Can anyone explain what is a CBU Deal?

So I went in store and got the 500gb + 500gb and enquired about it being 5G data, and was told that it is and my area has 5G coverage. All I need now is a 5G router, anyone know where to get the best 5G router deals?

Hi. Does anyone know if the mtn 5g data will still work in 4g routers in areas with only 4g coverage?

Just got off the phone with MTN retention agent.

R 79 - 10.5GB Anytime Data, 500MB Night, 150 Min, 50 SMS’s
500MB can be data shared, 10GB promotional data, not sharable.

R 99 - 21GB's Anytime Data, 50 Min, 50 SMS's
1GB can be data shared, 20GB promotional data, not sharable.

R199 - 51GB Anytime Data, 50 Min, 50 SMS's
1GB can be data shared, 50GB promotional data, not sharable.

R199 - 15.5GB Anytime Data, 100 Min Product Code: CT 00004 BF
500MB can be data shared, 15GB promotional data, not sharable.

Would really love a Black Friday deal with talk time built-in and data that can be shared, but unfortunately MTN will not allow such a sweet deal...

Eventually went with the R199 80GB Anytime/80GB Night deal for 36 months contract, where 40GB can be data shared, I'm content.
Hi ffeng. Do you know the code of the R79 package?

This has been clarified previously in this thread and in other posts.

If it says business, you need to have a registered business.
It just doesn't make sense. I have contracts on my registered business and on my personal name ready for upgrades... And MTN stores or retentions can't pick up the deal...!!!
