So MTN matched Cellc's daily data deals with the advantage of being able to use it on 2G,3G and LTE. Prepaid LTE sim cards are 99c from MTN stores if you want a prepaid LTE sim.

BTW it shows 30days but they have not updated the menu fully yet so they will correct it. The R5 for 250mb and R10 for 1Gb night data bundles are valid for 1 night only and not 30days like the menu says. They are likely still updating the menu.

I'm not sure if its available for topup but its available for prepaid on the *141*2# menu

I wish Telkom Mobile would copy what MTN are doing but cheaper.

lol only by like 1 minute lol. Anyways so why would one go for Cellc now? They have absolutely NOTHING going for them right now?

MTN 60c per minute, Same prices on data as Cellc. Better data expiry polic than Cellc. LTE on MTN.

MTN has copied about EVERY single offer available on other networks so basically if you are on MTN prepaid you have EVERYTHING that the other networks have and prices are the same at least. If its a good thing I don't know but it makes their offering actually better in a way because you can have everything on 1 network but it also means MTN lack innovation so they are not coming up with better deals but just following so that can be bad too.

Not entirely true. They still offer cheaper 30 day bundles. But if you earn a decent salary there's really no need to be with Cell C. 2015 will see Cell C losing customers if they don't do something soon about their shatty network.

If only they could provide speeds faster than dial up they might have something here.

This deals aren't great at all?

You get 25+25 GB on Telkom mobile for R999, but this is R1399 for 24GB?

I'm getting that R10 Gig to test their network. If its better than Cell C, then they have my attention.

Is there any carry over on the 6,12 month options?
I prefer to buy data that does not expire after 30 days.

Well MTN data bundles don't have a 30day expiry. They have a minimum of 60days and a maximum of unlimited days. You can extend your data bundle expiry by buying at least a data bundle of any size to extend the expiry date of ALL BOUGHT data to 60days. So buying 6GB now means you have 60days expiry date. IF you say buy a 3mb data bundle on day 59 or 1 day before the data expires your data expiry of the 6Gb will also be extended another 60days.

Silly question, but can these bundles be purchased by people on contracts as well? (like Anytime or one of those other contracts that didn't really come with a big bundle to start with)

Hi

Dial *141*0# , thats the main menu. Select the purchase option and see what internet bundles are available to you.

Yeah, I get the One Time bundles for 6 month and 12 month option. That is actually pretty great then for contract users.
Just a pity you can't make it stop when you run out of data.
