Okay, I renewed my contract with Autopage and asked them in writing to add a 500MB bundle to my contract. I dont know how they got it wrong but they only added 350MB. That issue aside, I am busy battling with them to fix it.

Since I added the bundle on the 25th of May 2007 I only browsed like Wap sites and used Mxit occasionally. I hooked it up to my computer once to see if I can get the GPRS working via Bluetooth.

So I dialed the 258 number today to check my balance, thinking that I probably only used like 4MB at the very most and even that would be a bit extreme.

So this robot chick tunes me I have used 151.67MB of my 350MB bundle. I was like WTF!!???

Does anyone know who in MTN I can speak to to get a break down of my data usage?

There is no way I could have used 5MB even. If they cant see the problem, then I have got very serious issues with the way they do their data accounting and I will most definitely cancel it and go with Vodacom. You dial their support line 173 and you cant get through to anyone, what a rip off.

Hi:) Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried checking your itemised billing on the MTN Active website?

Hi, thanks!

Is the MTN Active website not for MTN mobile service providers? I am a normal contract user.

Can u access your itemised billing statement onlime from Autopage? If so, that will more or less tell you whats your Data usage from the 25th of May. The 350mb is probably a pro-rata bundle since you only loaded it towards the end of the month (I think it should have benn even less like 100mb), and they are not supposed to charge you a full cost of that (they should only charge you a pro-rata charge like 70% etc).

Good luck with that,

I once struggled with Nashua a couple of years ago. I loaded a 100mb bundle in the mid of the m,onth and was charged about 50%. I then decided to cancel it cause I never finished all my data and I would forfeit them. To my surprise they charged me again for the next month. It was quite a lengthy struggle but at the end they credited me with the full amount!

I suggest you cantact a data person (preferably a data manager) from Autopage and always ask to speak to that person.

Case closed!

You are right EliasMH! It is a pro-rata bundle. It would have been nice if they told me that beforehand, instead I had to go through a lengthy process via their call centers to figure it out.So from next month it should reflect accurately.
