MTN Data Card not connecting

Hi all. If I insert my data card after a format and setup then the data card refuses to connect to MTN (the default profile), I then have to use my cell to create a connection and then I use the data card with this connection. Can someone please help me to use the card properly. My connection and everything is strong EDGE
