Hi there

I can't seem to find anywhere on the MTN website that lists the costs for data transferred. I assume this is charged per MB for example?

To give you an example of what I am looking for, how much does it cost to browse the web, download mail etc via your cellphone.

If anyone knows, please let me know.

Thanks.

:)

Howdy Geek,

The out of bundle rate is R2 per meg (if that helps) there are data bundles you can tack onto your account (note: if you are on contract, you can only use ONE FRIGGING data bundle per month, but if you are on pre-paid, you can use as many as you want, just reload when the one is finished)

Sorry about the caps (just had issues around this today with MTN)

Depending on the data bundle you choose, the out-of-bundle rate goes down (eg. if you have the 100meg bundle, once it is used up , you are only charged R1,50 per meg etc) - Look on the MTN website under tarrifs.

I find it very odd that MTN have a 10MB bundle and then a 100MB bundle, and nothing in between. I don't need 100MB for my phone and 10MB is way too little. About 50MB will be perfect, but there's no way of loading 5 x 10MB bundles, right?

.

Unless things have changed thats not true about prepaid and being able to reload once finished the data.
I have to use 2 sim's to be able to reload within 30 days.
They remove the "Purchase new data bundle" option until the 30 days are up.

Only reason i put up with this and don't use Voda is because Mtn has HSDPA coverage at home whereas Voda only GPRS
