MTN E220 Fastlink dashboard upgrade

I have an MTN branded E220 modem with the Fastlink dash.

Is there any need to upgrade to generic Huwaei software if there are no problems witht the existing dash??

what about the firmware??

There is a way to update firmware on the menu, but it does not work

If it aint broken don't fix it

The 25th of July one is really cool --> the app is called Mobile Partner (The other 3 are Mobile Connect).
