MTN flabbergasted by Cell C claims

Would be interesting to see what happens here.
 
Very interesting indeed. And the Cell C CEO said that they are going to start playing hardball in the regulatory and legal arenas. He pointed out that the big three are excellent at ‘negotiating’ the regulator, but that Cell C will be stronger in this arena in future. He did not mince his words in this regard and is definitely not happy with MTN…
 
I can't help imagining this "what me worry" face on MTN...
Uh.. R200 million? Sue us!
 
CellC also complained that the cellphone market is under-regulated. Taking a swipe at ICASA too. Of course, they are spot on again.
 
There are procedures in place to handle disputes over interconnect fees. Cell C could of course just withhold interconnect fees from MTN.

yep, that should work.

CellC to MTN: untill you pay us the R200 Million you owe us, we will keep the R 10 Million we owe you.

MTN: ummm, OK.
 
like playing cards - if MTN mess it up the CC covld fine them Billions - wonder if they know Telkom were never audited on their figures

There were some reports in the past that this is what Cell C actually does.
