Firstly I-mail is currently only available to MTN PostPaid Subs. The service is currently free but a subscription service will be implemented in June. i-mail gives MTN subs the ability to manage their Voice/Video/Fax Mails online. This includes listening to Voicemail messages and viewing Faxmail and VideoMail.

Firstly since this service is accessible through www.mtn.co.za the sub first needs to be a registered user for MTNloaded in order to access the facility.

Once successfully logged into the site.
Select MyMTN and then select on Communicate then click i-Mail.
You would then be presented with Menu options to mange your Mailbox.

Some interesting features include:

MessageMe

One of the key features is the ability to forward messages to a specified email address or even to your handset as an MMS. This basically means that you can have a copy of a voice message forwarded to your email address or to your handset as an MMS in a voice clip format that you can save if required. In the same manner faxes can be forwarded as attachments to your email and so can Videomail messages be sent as video clip attachments. There is no charge for using this forwarding option to either an email address or via MMS.

Blocked Callers
Allows you to prevent certain Msisdns from leaving messages.

There are lots of other features that are available. Log into your personal account via MTNloaded and navigate and see the options that are available

Hope this helps

A subscription service?

And here I thought this was one of those "value add" services that the operators keep promising us in lieu of lowering rates ;-)
