Such words being uttered on mybroadband.I like Telkom as it is.
Hi Folks
It is hard to believe this forum has only been going for 5 days. So many members, so many discussions. It is a clear sign that we are not happy, and action is needed. One has to start somewhere, and a letter to all parties involved was what I opted for. You can view this letter in our news section. I hope most people are happy with the content of the letter. I am certain there will be many small complaints, but I am doing my best to gather all the ideas and not to add too many at once. If we all remember that our main aim is to improve this service I am certain most will approve of the letter. Please give your views: good or bad.
I send the letter to all people listed below. I will inform you about any feedback. It is of great importance to stay active. If they see the forum dies, so will their need to react.

I hope all of you enjoy the discussion and site so far. I am off on holiday for a week to a remote part of the world, and would therefore not be able to contribute for a while. Looking forward to all the new discussions and views on my return.
Thanks to all of you for the activity on the site so far. Together we might just be able to change things for the better.
Regards,

Oh hell no.
I like Telkom as it is. If MTN which I consider to be totally crap service wise takes them over then I will only have vodascum as an option.
I had fraud on mtn...3 illegal sim swaps on my account. Phone stolen and number only deactivated the next day after the thief made R1000 of phone calls (yet I had a call limit of R200), and had sms roaming but then noticed while abroad they activated data roaming after 2 days without permission from me and sent me an account of R6000 when I noticed what they did.
I never want mtn ever again.
So please dont buy Telkom. Because they actually work and I know of 20 people that dumped mtn for telkom too.
This depends on where you areWell you are lucky if get signal with Telkom. When loadshedding hits Telkom also is the worse service provider.
Telkom was the only network working where I was when loadshedding was happening.Well you are lucky if get signal with Telkom. When loadshedding hits Telkom also is the worse service provider.
If this happens the competition commission must be disbanded. Vodacom & MTN have almost identical pricing despite "competing". Telkom is the only competitor to this duopoly since Cell C is incompetent.
The writing has been on the wall. The US only has 3 big players.Oh great. Back to only 2 mobile network operators.

I would argue that Telkom is certainly making progress and is viable. That's a far cry from Cell C's chaos yet perhaps that has more to do with an entrenched duopoly which is Vodacom and MTN.Telkom and Cell c have failed
Theres no growth and advancement since they started, they were helped with termination rates, spectrum, licences etc they had every chance to be a strong 3rd player but proved they are not capable
If 4 players are unable to gain fair market share, try 3.
