MTN international rates to mobile

Does anybody know if the MTN 99c per minute for international calls applies to mobile phones as well as landlines. It's not very clear on their site.

What is clear is free minutes do not apply.

P.s. I wish MTN had an Ockie on myBB.

it is only to landlines.
mobile numbers will cost more.

Bad news, I just spent 20 mins on a call :-(

It depends on destignation. The same 0.99c rate fixed and mobile line to many countries. And it is billed per second from the first second. Not as Telkom which charges for the first minute when the other side do not pickup the phone (just ringing).

thank you. i tried that number but it only gives the rates to landlines. the lady at MTN 808173 says calls to mobile numbers in canada are charged at R23.50 per minute, which is a horror although i suppose it could be worse.


for future reference i'll post here when the account comes through after 27th July.
