MTN launches R300 smartphone with WhatsApp

security guards and house helpers rejoice - there is a massive market for this very type of phone and using whatsapp to bridge that divide between feature phone and smartphone - thats smart
 
I hope is not locked to MTN SIM only that will be a blow, by the way I could not mind if it had VoLTE and no apps since well the reasonable target market are elderly people who want to make voice call and care less about other features so Snapdragon 205 was best choice, since I was waiting for feature phone that support VoLTE which was promised to us the public last year

R300 is what I paid for my Nokia 1600 and looks the same, but has bigger keys. :)

Hopefully it will run Telegram. Vodacom Kicka 4 on special is not far away, it is a real Android phone.
 
Kai OS is not a smartphone OS it's a feature phone OS
 
Wish they had a version without cameras.
