MTN LTE sevices to cost extra

I dont remember there being a "value added service" sub when they went from EDGE to 3G networks

bloody thieves.

This is there way of saying, when you go OOB it is entirely your fault. Using LTE you will most definitely meet the OOB shark faster than expected.

Please tell me this is an Aprils fools joke.. Seriously if they for real then it's unacceptable and if 8ta/Cell C offer it for free without charging VAS then they can have my money with pleasure.

hrm.. pretty much like companies use to do for higher speed hspa not too many years ago.. <-- that didnt last to long tho because as soon as one of the operators offer without differentiation it kills the pricing model.

Greedy South African companies:

MTN
Vodacom
DSTV
FNB
Nedbank
Standard Bank
.......

Any additions welcome...

This is old news. I've known this since December 2012... Why are they only now reporting this?

R799 for 2GB of data is ludicrous.

LTE could be a VAS- a fixed cost per month to access LTE, but then the price per MB should be cheaper than existing technologies...
