MTN massive outage

Looks like MTN is suffering a massive outage ATM. Not sure if it is only in KZN but you have network but is stuck with Emergency calls only message but nothing works.

Trying to contact MTN numbers result in a delay and then voicemail message.

All of my friends and family that are on MTN and in KZN have the same problem.

Can anyone confirm?

Seems to be working for me calling from Centurion, to a landline. Haven't tried data because I'm in an edge area at the moment

Must be area related then I guess. Sigh nothing working was busy on a call and got cut. Tried calling from a landline but just goes to voicemail.

Funny you mentioned being cut-off, yesterday whilst at Zwartkops AFB I was also cut off mid call, but I'm pretty sure that has to do with the tower being overloaded due to the amount of people

Yeah I thought it was bigger than it is. Well there are a couple of towns out of about 250km radius +-

Vryheid and Richmond KZN were both offline earlier... Seems to be back now.
