MTN messed up with R71 billion fine

High volume of trade right before the announcement, seems legit :whistling:

MTN really doesn't wanna be in business any more.

Insider knowledge without a doubt, someone new **** was going down.

The scumbags turned out to be even scumbaggier than first assumed..

"MyBroadband asked MTN for comment regarding the issue, but the company did not respond by the time of publication."

Is this not the story of MTN always? I have yet to see them respond to a request for comment on anything. I am not surprised they were slow on informing the market.

Pity we have such a weak regulator, they regularly get away with worse than that in SA but seem to have 'connections' inside the ANC and can rip the public off to their heart's content with no consequences. I trust that the JSE is more independent and holds them accountable for insider trading.
