MTN network blackout warning? Don’t worry about it!

Looks like a serious case of foot in mouth?

Company spokesperson says: Ignore our CEO?

Don't worry about it because you won't be able to tell the difference anyway.

it looks like the petition will be unnecessary ....

or is it - is the board sufficiently aware of the implications of the comment and how reckless they are

Don't cellphone companies attract the wierdest CEO's?

Must be cell radiation or something, it's like they're living on their own special planet where the rules are different from the rest of us.

As per the cover page:

He said: “MTN customers should not be concerned. Our network quality is one of the best in South Africa and we aim to continue providing a supreme network service to all our customers,” MTN said in a statement to MyBroadband.

He did not say that MTN would not introduce management initiated rolling blackouts.

What business school did this moron CEO go to ? Any MTN subscriber that read that, and was near the end of their contract, would cancel and move to a new provider.

For me it is too late anyway, I can't wait for November so I can cancel my MTN contract that I have had since 1994 - when MTN were still in nappies.

MTN (not from the CEO) said:
MTN customers should not be concerned. Our network quality is one of the best in South Africa and we aim to continue providing a supreme network service to all our customers

It all makes sense now, the rolling blackouts will only affect MTN's management team.

I do hope the first rolling blackout will start with the dumbass MTN CEO and that there will be time for observers to make and eat some popcorn.

On second thought, MTN should reconsider using the phrase "rolling blackouts" since it might not be politically correct, I suggest MTN uses "management redaction" instead.

Where "management redaction" is defined as steps taken to cover a company's incompetent management team in black tape to prevent them from doing further damage.

Must I have trust in a company that will have my business for 24 months with a CEO like that?
I don't think so! What is the rest of the company like? Just more idiots I suppose!

No surprise
Their network has been so UTTERLY CRAP lately I have given them notice on my contract, porting back to Vodacom
