Mtn number

My mtn number is not connecting to the internet. This has been going since February this year and before then i was fine using BIS on my black berry, i first thought my old blackberry has given up but now i bought a new samsung galaxy core phone and a new sim card (micro sim) and still no connection. the status on my phone says "no network" . i can make calls and receive them. The problem is with my data connection as i cannot use my Apps. please help i have data 775mb and now thinking of porting my number to vodacom.
