MTN says it will take legal action against location-based service providers for privacy risks

MTN is threatening civil and criminal action against WASPs or any other service provider which puts the privacy of its customers at risk.

This followed revelations of widespread abuse of location-based services, provided by Vodacom and MTN to track South Africans without their knowledge or consent.

This location-based data was used to track the movements of Lieutenant-Colonel Charl Kinnear and plan his assassination.

I hope MTN realise they have blood on their hands. Hope they get sued and sued. May they even suffer the exact same harm they caused. The whole management team must be sacked.

Keep stealing customer airtime, continue using location based services so we get lots of money, But if you tell anyone we will totally put the blame on you.
