MTN grows revenue but loses subscribers

MTN has published its quarterly trading update for the period ended 31 March 2019, which shows a drop in subscriber numbers for South Africa.

The results reflected a net loss in subscribers and prepaid service revenue in South Africa, although the number of postpaid subscribers increased by 1.2% in the quarter.

That's because they are raping us with absurd data costs and reoccurring bundle subscriptions without consent.
Exactly! From 7 June you are automatically switched to an out of bundle contract of R0,40/mb - bullshit story! Is there no way to stop that?

Apparently there is a way in the app, saw it on the dedicated thread, will have to download it and see.

MTN are marketing this as a 'Auto-Renew' 1Mb data bundle. Per new ICASA regulations we would need to be notified when reaching certain caps on data bundles and when your data bundle is depleted. Would be intresting to see how they would handle that on the 1Mb data bundle.
