<rant>

So I'm trying to log onto MTN's website. Lastpass has my username & pass stored. Website accepts it. Yay.

Then it tells me it needs to send me a new pass via SMS. Weird since I've already got a working pass...but whatever lets do it.

Next it wants profile info (name & email). Weird MTN already has that info...but whatever.

Proceed to type in my info. No joy...crap filtering doesn't allow special chars. Whatever...proceed to type in incorrect info to make their crap profile page work.

Next it wants me to do the SMS OTP thing. Weird since we just did the new pass thing...but whatever.

Next it tells me it needs to send me a verification email. Weird since we just did the new pass thing and OTP thing...but whatever.

Shortly thereafter an email arrives entitled "Miragted User". Whatever...ignore scary spelling and find activation link & click it.

Proceed to attempt to login. "You have already activated your account. Please use your logins to access MTN.co.za". Huh? I am on the flippin MTN.co.za domain. Also...logins?

Go back to MTN homepage to try the login box there since it looks different. "Sorry!, please try again later." Huh what do you mean "later"? Is the pass wrong or what?

Click on forgotten pass...now it wants to send me another pass (this would be the 4th one - original, SMSd temp, my new selected one, and now this one). Plus a captcha (again).

Also...I shall be "mirageting" to another provider shortly...can't deal with so much incompetence.

</rant>

tl;dr I really want to check my usage info to know what contract to get next at VC/CellC. Does anyone know what flavour of witchcraft I need to make their shtty website work?

ROFLMAO. Post of the day. You summed up my experience exactly!
Most of the time when I try to login or check any usage I get "oops an error occurred".
I also had to do multiple logins/passwords to get on there. And this is there *new* website.

If you are using a company account try going to https://active.mtn.co.za/mtnsc
Well that worked after a bit more OTP hassle.

Unfortunately all the reports on the website is broken - every single one. I can't even pull a simple call history for the current month.

I tried phoning them too - more of that pin and personal info non-sense...and then finally being told I can't have the info since the contract is on my dads name. grrr...need to change that.

I'm just going to trek to one of their damn shops and pray that whatever employee I encounter knows what a csv file is.

So the MTN staff in the shops can't see any info either. Like nothing...only averaged billed amount. o_O

The reckon I need to find the nearest regional service center to get info more detailed than that single number.

They've really gone out of their way to make customers lives difficult...
