So mtn are having this promo, got an sms today saying dial *130*500# to opt in. Spend R6 and get R60 to use for calls sms and internet.

Its all on network obviously, but my question is can you use the R60 for data bundles? And would it expire daily? 300mb a day for just R6 sounds too good to be true?

The R60.00 free airtime will be used for MTN to MTN calls and Internet browsing. Customers cannot purchase data bundles using the free airtime. MTN’s depletion rules state that if a customer has a current data bundle; the data bundle will deplete first, followed by the free airtime depleting thereafter.

Still very good. I was buying 50MB @R7.50 Cell C bundle not so long ago. Now if someone want 60MB data (@R1 OOB rate), just talk for 10 minutes to any network @R6, then surf Internet for R60.

Everyday getting spammed by MTN. Recharge and receive free airtime - should opt out
