Great move on MTN's part.

Hope their offices don't get demolished :(


EDIT: as has been pointed out below MTN made the announcement after Cell C and Telkom offered free data.

Nice...even better if they actually do it (wouldn't put anything past MTN).

For those who may have missed the other articles about this (like me) -

MTN will zero-rate access to university online content, following similar announcements by Cell C and Telkom today.

Yeah unfortunately they did this late. They're supposed to have a magician innovator brand, but always seem to be following. Like they're scared to do things first.

Even when people complain about pricing their standard response is 'we're in line with our competitors'.

If your brand is supposedly based on being the innovator, being in line with competitors isn't a good thing.
