MTNSP - how to negotiate upgrade?

I am on Procall 120 at MTNSP and it is upgrade time. I want a Huwai E220 + entry level Nokia 3G phone.

Nashua Mobile's call centre says E220 + N70 for a once off payment of R 270.

My problem is that I would prefer to avoid the schlep of moving away from MTNSP, but their shops are limited to the deal sheet:

"Uh sorry, the combination of E220 + N70 is not on our list. What about just the E220".

How can I get full value for my package out of MTNSP?

Snakepit or MTNDD - any suggestions?

Phone 808 and ask for the retentions department.
They have a save team that would be able to atleast try and make a tailor package for you. This all is scored on your time with MTN and various other things. Worth a try IMHO.

Looked like the right place to go to.

Called and they say that there is no such promotion as I am asking for but that I am welcome to upgrade to just a N70. I tried to explain that that will not deliver full value but gave up after 3 minutes.

They have a save matrix in place, if the offer does not correspond to anything they have im afraid they wouldnt be able to assist
