MTU still an issue?

Anyone knows whether the MTU path discovery is still not allowed on the ST network? How can I find out?

I've got a linux fw/router with MTU set to 1400 in the ppp options file. This works well, but if I forget to set the MTU size on any windows PC that I connect to my little LAN, things stop working.

Is there another way I can set up the router so that the default windows MTU settings works?

nope still not allowed the dumb ****s dont know how to set up there network ...

i have got appound this by clamping MSS to MTU on my linux gateway ...

iptables -A FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu

should do the trick
