OK so the King Rat didn't really say that, but this news item from CNN should be required viewing by all in South Africa until Mugarbage is forced to quit so that Zimbabwe can get back to being normal again.

Maybe not in so many words but ultimately he may as well have. He should have at least offered them cake. :D

That's my point. Wouldn't exactly be a great loss to the world if Bob suffered a similar fate. :D

The trouble is that Mugarbage will never be removed from power and the oppostion in Zimbabwe are unable to mount anything that can topple him let alone bring back the guillotine to chop his head off.

Now if South Africa could apply full economic sanctions and cut off his jet/auto fuel and electrical supply then maybe there is a chance. Until SA does something, then nothing will happen and we will continue to see more things like this moving forward.

French Revolution

Zimbabwe in a queer sort of way is heading for a similar scenario as the French Revolution.
People were starving while the rich aristocrats sat on their derrières.

What a disgusting topic for XMas.
I hope some of the Zimbabweans will have at least something better to eat than rats.

They should and they should also have sealed off the border long ago, its quite risky now considering the number of Zim citizens already in SA.

From the same article above at the top of the page. (I did not see it the first time)

Zimbabwe ambassador to U.S. calls eating rodents "a delicacy"

Riiiiiiight!!!!

And next up on the menu for the Zimbabonewe ambassor, if and when he gets invited to a White House dinner, -

Rack of Rat served with Rat Brains for the entree, and Rat Rasperry Torte garnished with fresh rat droppings for a delectable dessert.

SA will never do it as they basically agree with the principals applied by Mugabe and adhere to some of the it in different ways. Soon we will see more direct implementations of Zimbabwean principles as called for by certain government members and society.

Woman: Well there's rat cake ... rat sorbet ... rat pudding ... or strawberry tart.

Man: Strawberry tart?!

Woman: Well, it's got some rat in it.

Man: How much?

Woman: Three (rather a lot really).

Man: ... well, I'll have a slice without so much rat in it.
CAPTION: 'ONE SLICE OF STRAWBERRY TART WITHOUT SO MUCH RAT IN IT LATER'

Man: Appalling.

Woman: Moan, moan, moan, never a kind word

Enter their son

Son: Hello, mum, hello, dad.

Man: Hello, son.

Son: There's a dead bishop on the landing.

Marie Antoinette said "Let them eat cake" and she got herself guillotined.
Actually she never said that.. it's a common misquotation.. ;)

From the ever quoted wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Antoinette
Louis XVI's coronation took place at Reims during the height of a bread shortage in Paris. This is the context in which Marie Antoinette is incorrectly quoted as joking, "If they have no bread, then let them eat cake!" ("Qu'ils mangent de la brioche.") There is no evidence that this phrase was ever uttered by Marie Antoinette. When Marie Antoinette actually heard about the bread shortage she wrote, "It is quite certain that in seeing the people who treat us so well despite their own misfortune, we are more obliged than ever to work hard for their happiness. The king seems to understand this truth; as for myself, I know that in my whole life (even if I live for a hundred years) I shall never forget the day of the coronation."

Also in the list of "famous misquotations"
