New DStv prices announced

MultiChoice South Africa has announced its annual price and product adjustments for DStv and Showmax.

The pay-TV operator has notified customers about inflationary or below-inflation increases for satellite-based packages, no adjustment for its streaming-only packages, and a price increase on Showmax Premier League.

DSTV Going UP, Electricity Going Up, Food Prices Going Up etc. Salary stays the same. Something has to give at one point

“Certain products received no increase, including all DStv Stream packages, Box Office movies and Showmax Entertainment, while the ADD Movies premium movie bolt was reduced to just R49pm, a 38% price reduction.”

They are encouraging DStv Stream package adoption, which is interesting. They must be cutting some things on the satellite business side.

Compact customers will also get five brand new channels, including the SuperSport Action channel and four new general entertainment offerings.

That's better. Again clearly their favourite package.

Zumanomics 101. When demand drops for your product just keep increasing prices and screw over your existing customers.

Who still watches DSTV. Or maybe I am just far too poor to get robbed by them every month.

Well Frikkie does need to finance his elite Waka TV box expropriation squad.
