Why DStv lost IPL cricket — major soccer rights also at risk

Cash N Sports director Nqobile Ndlovu says MultiChoice could not afford the rights to broadcast the Indian Premier League (IPL) — the world's most popular domestic cricket tournament.

It's a significant blow to SuperSport and DStv Premium subscribers, who have become accustomed to being able to watch all major sporting events live.

Hahahahaha

Good luck with your journey DStv.

Or not...

Breaking. DStv landed IPL rights.
Hahaaahaaa, wonder what the long term effect of this turn around will be, if anything. Looks like they blinked and for them that can't be a good thing. Hahaaaahaaa.

Just been announced on the ODI broadcast that they've now secured the rights. All matches to be shown on SS.

If they can’t afford it they should be charging their addicts subscribers more. They’ll pay, they always do.

But hey, at least they have the PSL.

Knowing DStv's hypocrisy, they probably just used a VPN to sign up for a normal Paramount+ subscription and are broadcasting that stream.
