It's not useless. It helps people get better reception if they live in an area that has bad analog reception.

Horses for courses. ;)

Ok then thats its only use, the extra options aren't anything to get excited about. :D

Competition.

Nah... my R20 is better off spent at the local DVD shop for a night's two DVD's... :D

OMG, they add freebies and make it as if they do you a favor. Bl@@dy corrupt criminals just like Telkom! Maybe they were in the same class of 95!

And this would justify the initial layout of a decoder and dish and installation how? Pathetic excuse for a bundle... Prolly just so the poor people can say "Hey did you see on DSTV last night?"

Well, my digital clock is a little more useful now, and the R17,50 a month is actually worth the clear picture.
But, if i did not already own a decoder, no way hoze!

well doesn't sentech have that vivid service which has no monthly subscription, and perfect digital reception? So whats the point in paying R20 a month extra? Am I missing something?

Got me a R 2 000,00 clock too, but I have to say, Al Jazeera and BBC World would have been worth something to me back in 1992 when SABC and M-Net were the only options. Eugh.

But now with the Internet and DVD rentals, who needs DStv?

I would rather Multichoice take R20 off the subscription fees, and take out those useless channels from the main bundle!
:p
