They will go for UEC designed ****.

Where they can control what you watch. Even though you own the STB.

Erm, but the announcement we are talking about is that they have concluded a deal with Pace, *not* UEC (current provider)...

That is so ms. User agreement WE will grant you the license to use the unit, even thou you have paid for it. It still is ours, (except if lightning strikes) then you can have it :) subscribers must read the Multichoice contract with a magnifying glass.

They record your viewing habits and download it when the unit comes back for service or repair. They maintain the right to change whatever they want in the bouquet.. They are big brother.. (Which is quite boring by the way)..
Ag ok.... I just don't like them.. Sorry Getafix.. The new technologies are so exciting.. I just get turned off by the money grabbing companies that misuse the end user.

No appologies necessary, I don't like them either. I have a thing for monopolistic giants that rip the a$$ out of the local population. Telskum comes to mind aswell.
I enjoy the sport and a few of the other channels, but that's it. I surely hope that the introduction of competition will make things more affordable. I have my doubts as Monochoice has tied up many of the main channels and I really couldn't be bothered with Isidingo and the other local stuff that around.
Time to climb of my horse now.
