MultiChoice is battling to keep DStv Premium subscribers in South Africa

If showmax sorted their shyte out and actually released a roku client I'd be a subscriber.

Will continue until they realise adverts and price increases aren't the solution.

To counter this, MultiChoice plans to launch an online-only version of DStv – but the price of the service will be a key factor in determining its success.

They're struggling to provide buffer free 'dstv now', so I'd say reliable delivery is also going to be a major factor.
.

weird though wasn't that **** explorer like number two on black friday sales right next to the nappies?

Not surprised they battling to keep their customers based on the way they treat their customers.
A few days back, got a call from debt collectors.
I owe DSTV R165 and will be blacklisted if I don't pay.
Only problem is that my DSTV is a pre-paid service, paid annually in advance up until March 2019.
Had to spend a few hours sorting this out.

I get fed up with paying to watch adverts on stuff that I've download via catchup.

I can't see DStv making it to the end of 2019 in its present form.
Multi bilion Rand company gone in a year? That's quite a prediction.

Increase prices, that'll fix everything;)

I downgraded to Compact plus and I got the following sms "MASSIVE savings! Get DStv Premium for only R749pm x12 (normally R809pm). AND we'll throw in a free DStv Explora PLUS installation. Price includes a DStv WiFi Connector, Access Fee AND delivery. While stocks last! SMS 'SAVE' to 32512 now & we'll call back".

If it's not a scam it is tempting.

There are pirate apps that stream well with no buffering and here i sit with this **** showmax that has bad quality streams and buffers. So ironic
