DStv Premium for cheaper than R500 — if you buy fibre from MultiChoice

MultiChoice has launched a new bundle package that combines a DStv Premium subscription, DStv Streama digital media box, and a 25/10Mbps fibre connection for R999 per month.

The deal was made available from the start of October 2022 alongside another bundle that combines the same device and fibre package with a DStv Compact subscription at R699 per month.

For that price you can get 100/100 + xD

Now if they released this package without forcing you to use their no doubt stupid device, I'd actually be tempted to get dstv for the first time in 7 years.

Why would someone get this box which is bound to have no software support(updates) it is like buying a Hisense tv with the vidaa os. One thing I do know is 55+ years olds will be eating this up, most likely their target market

So a contract, for slower speeds, for basically an android box and only for one TV? Why didn't they just go full crazy and say the internet is locked to that device only too.

Thats stage 2 of the bait and switch

Why can't I plug the network cable into my explora decoder and still have pvr, then into the second explora decoder so I can record the other match that is on at the same time, while someone watches cartoons on the ipad?

Are they reselling something like Axxess or do they actually now run their own ISP?
Also, imagine the letters you'll get for surfing the high seas and grabbing DSTV licensed content (probably)
