Triple blow for DStv business packages — including a massive price hike

MultiChoice has announced restructuring its business packages, including price increases that will increase monthly fees by as much as 24%.

Moreover, the changes hit customers with a triple whammy, as DStv now only allows two TVs per subscription — down from three — and stripped popular SuperSport channels from the cheaper packages.

I'm sorry but I see a 24.something % raise, but not a 125% increase. That's a bit of a difference.

Let's try again.

You had 3 TV's.
One went for a walk.
You have 2 TV's.
But you still pay the same price as for 3 TV's.

So what do you get?

A grant. That's correct. You pay 100% for the grant. And 25% increase.

It's 125% increase.

But that's not all. They also remove sport so you have to jump even further.

You see?

I see a loophole here. Get DSTV premium, Stream on 2 tv's and use the decoder on the other one?

WWha hah ah aha ha ah ah aha ha hah a aha ha ahhahahahahahah aha ha ha a!!!!!

Die sportliefhebbers...... vat hom flaffie, vat hom!

But seriously, it's clickbait and outright wrong. A 24.71% increase is NOT a 125% price hike. That's just plain incorrect, and a false statement to make.
It's based on the feedback from the sports bar owner, hence the "effective".

I have no incentive to clickbait the forum thread titles. It makes zero difference to our bottom-line - directly or indirectly.

Oh..... Is that what effective means.

So it has nothing to do with the increase is to potentially help DSTV to become successful.
