MultiChoice South Africa CEO Mark Rayner resigns

MultiChoice South Africa CEO Mark Rayner is leaving the company, according to an internal mail which was seen by MyBroadband.

MultiChoice did not immediately respond to queries regarding the reasons behind his resignation.

Rayner is a chartered accountant who served his articles at KPMG and held various finance-related positions in the Bidvest Group.

He probably saw the state of the DStv Now software update and bailed to escape the hell that awaits them all . . .

Will be interesting to see which way they go with new person/ceo. If they go.. drastic change or more of the same as this shows how fast they feel the iceberg is approaching.

Slow sinking ship and I think any CEOs that hop on board will just be in it for the large paychecks over the short term.

Turns out that the new firmware is so bad that it cannot be released - it is only releasing people in management from their current positions, it would appear.
Ok so while everyone is listening !

  • Pay per view for your major sporting events
  • Series and movie rentals for non subscribers
  • FTA streaming channel so that there is actually some TV left in SA that everyone can watch.
