Were these guys simply selling devices preloaded with software or actually accepting payment for a subscription for the software as a conduit for the service itself?

I would imagine they are just selling cheap android boxes that are preloaded with legal IPTV android apps that are readily available from the Play Store.

Why is this news? These guys are on repeat, DSTV, SABC, SAA, SAPOS, Escom, Petrol price comparisons etc.

Android TV box with streaming software preloaded. My Mi Box came with Netflix preloaded. So does that count?

They need to be more specific before scaring the public.
