... think the problem is, it's Vegas. I'd say the slow reactions is it's always noisy with fireworks and whatnot and people still cling to the thought of being safe more than any imminent threat.

The shooter was literally shooting fish in a barrel, in a sense of firing an automatic weapon down into a crowd. You don't need to aim, guaranteed of getting multiple hits, as has been demonstrated by the casualty figures.
Quite disgusting.

I actually watched an insert the other night about a Neo-Nazi who left prison and got a black parole officer. They created a massive bond, she moved him so much he had his swastika tattoos removed and changed his ways. Was pretty awesome to watch

I can't watch the clips from this machine. But does the gun sound like it's breathing between shots or bursts? If so it's an AK. Has a very distinct sound, sounds like it's taking breaths between bursts.
