Mumbai, India - A massive explosion has shaken the besieged Mumbai Jewish centre, blowing out windows in neighbouring buildings.

Gunfire and smaller explosions follow the first blast, which appears to have been part of the Indian commando assault on the building.

A chain of militant attacks across India's financial centre that began Wednesday have left at least 143 people dead.

The USA will have a lot of explaining to do.

I fixed your post. It now reads correctly.

Let's not pretend we do not know who is really behind this. The dirty work may have been done by Pakistan or whoever else, but the 'superpower' is all too aware that China and India will be the economic leaders in 10 years' time and is desperate to stop that, or at the very least slow it down. So they got their lackeys to do some damage on their behalf.

All in the name of Islam?
They had some expert on 702 this morning who basically said the majority there are non-Muslim, Paki are mainly Muslim and this is all about Kashmir.

Blowback....

Pak troops violate ceasefire: Army

Jammu, Nov 28 (PTI) Pakistani troops opened fire on Indian positions along LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, the second ceasefire violation in as many days, a senior army officer said today.
Pakistani soldiers fired on Indian position in Tarkundi belt along Line of Control in Poonch district 2100 hours last night, the officer told PTI.

The intermittent firing continued for over an hour.

Indian troops did not respond to the "provocative" acts. "This is second ceasefire violation by the Pakistan in less than 24 hours along LoC in J&K", he said.

On November 26, Pakistani troops fired on Indian post in Khour Border Out Post along LoC in Jammu district in which one Havaldar Pratap Singh of 9 Raj Rifles was critically injured.

The violation of the four-year-old truce came despite an assurance from Islamabad last month that no cross firing would be resorted to.

Two BSF jawans were injured shelling from Pakistan on Indian posts of Durga and Naka-11 in Jammu border on November 4.

This is 38th ceasefire violation since January this year and seventh in Sabzian sub-sector where two jawans were killed in September.

Also, over 132 infiltration bids have been reported in the last nine months from across the LoC in which 80 militants have been killed. PTI

Yes it is. They took out foreigners to hit hard at the Indian economy.

You must be crazy. :) YOU do know that there is a conflict between India and Pakistan over duh -- Kashmir? Come on get with it, this has nothing to do with the US.

China will not be an economic leader this century. China has 1.1 Billion poor peasants and their 300 million so-so middle class is also not so well off either. China has so many things going against it, and I'm not talking about the global liquidity crisis even. This is not a topic of discussion for this post, but
the experts out there do not believe China will be a world leader and may in fact slide into civil war and anarchy as it's history has always dictated if it does not continue its 9% growth.

Just like the Brit that was killed in this incident.

I wonder what, or who, inspired them to do such cowardly acts.

I wouldn't call them cowardly acts. I'd say they were horribly, cruel and criminal acts but these terrorists knew they were going on a suicidal mission and so I wouldn't say it was cowardly from that POV. Evil and cruel - YES,
cowardly - NO.

It ain't US' fault ... US offered help to India - http://www.welt.de/english-news/article2789464/Obama-Bush-condemn-Mumbai-attacks-offer-help.html

I think muslims are behind this....
And:
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the attacks were probably plotted by a group based in a neighbouring country.
Lets hope everything would be fine soon.

Gosh yes, because they offered to help, it cannot possibly be them behind it all

Ever heard of a diversion tactic?

The USA is panicking in the same way the ruling party in SA is panicking ... seeing the power slipping through their fingers like sand ....

I hate the American government, but i do not see how this has anything to do with the US.

I love my tinfoil hat but i cannot put it on because it makes no sense that the US is behind this. I could believe the Uk government did this so England would not lose 7-0 but not the US.

Not to be nasty, but can you really not see the role of the US in world politics and in getting (indirectly) involved in actions that are to their benefit?
