Hey if Eskom and the municipalities, keep raising their prices at this rate, the pay back time for solar will be very short. How much more do they want to milk us.

no no.. first disconnect the illegal connections. then talk about what is needed, also driving the price up is just going to make more people not pay? this is not going to solve the problem but rather it's going to make it worse..

The Endumeni local municipality in KwaZulu-Natal wants a 16% hike due to a high losses from illegal connections and electricity theft and to fund infrastructure development.

These guys don't think you are right... even if we know you are right.

They're going to push all their paying customers to go solar at this rate. Good luck running a national power company when your only "customers" are non-paying electricity thieves.

Soon we will see mandatory connection fees to curb going off-grid.
