Twitter was founded in 2006. It's FIRST PROFITABLE year was in 2019. Tell me that is sustainable with a straight face.

The only reason it can sustain that is because it is in a bubble. It is valued more than it is actually worth. This is not rocket science.
Twitter not caring about profit makes a lot more sense when you think of it as a necessary propaganda tool for governments and groups that kept it afloat through angel investing.

Just a little conspiracy theory there.

Tesla seem to be doing fine on the same model and they're even more overvalued.

Amazon at least kept break even but they've basically never been profitable until the last few years.

As was the issue with the right last week when Musk said rules won't change until he puts a team together to go through everything.
I agree and it would be best if Musk didn't make declarations or aspirations then on various aspects of it's own policies in the interim. People are testing the water or perhaps poking the bear?

Except that Leftists thinks they're testing a new Musk ruleset, when instead they're testing the ruleset they said they were fine with before Musk.

I'd argue its generalised and that testing from both sides is to poke fun at inconsistencies between Musk and existing policy from a variety of perspectives.

The reason why Twitter could sustain is that it could meet working capital requirements while not affecting revenue or access to working capital. Why do you think Musk is pandering to advertisers? His working capital now has to include servicing an additional $13bn loan.

Just requiring the name to be unique should be an easy fix to the current problem of all the parody nonsense.

Seems like a pretty significant and easy to fix flaw with twitter.

You can change your name once and further changes require a support ticket with reason.

Should be easy enough.

And if you look like making a profit, you can take on more debt and grow the business Instead of paying out the profits.

Dude, seriously?
I'm more and more of the opinion that you are a Conservative that is taking the piss out of the 'tards.
Unless of course you're not.
You want to support the position that "Net profit is the biggest determinant of sustainability" ?

I'm sure Elon values your expertise on these matters. :giggle:
