Everyone’s trolling everyone. Just because the whole point of the checkmark is now stupid.
Yeah testing on QA is for beginners.

In a month or two they'll sort it out and everyone will be as happy as ever.
Unless the celebs take all 100 million of their followers with them to another platform.

The legal people aren't happy with the Muskrat.

Twitter lawyer warns Elon Musk’s rushed timelines put the company at risk for billions in privacy fines

To be honest, me personally think that some Slack leaks are bullshchit.

In a note posted to Twitter’s Slack and viewable to all staff, an attorney on the company’s privacy team wrote that “Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.”

Attorneys sign very explicit agreements to protect business interests, and his/her interest shouldn't be in the company and not its customers. To quote some parts,

Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.

...

All of this is extremely dangerous for our users. Also, given that the FTC can (and will!) fine Twitter BILLIONS of dollars pursuant to the FTC Consent Order, extremely detrimental to Twitter’s longevity as a platform. Our users deserve so much better than this.

hence I have to ask by whom this lawyer /cough attorney is appointed by, the users or the company?

This could very well be a select media training people on how they should see the current events at Twitter. In the case it is true the lawyer is in deep breach.

I wonder if he listens to any advice or concerns from the development team
Doubling down I think. He's just decided that his checkmark will mean something completely different to every other social media site for the sake of winning over $8 paid users who'll probably stop subscribing after the novelty wears off. At a minimum, you'd think someone at Twitter would fix the alignment/spacing of the new official tag.
