SENSATIONALISM. :)

Maybe we could get input from women here. What's their take?
Would you as a non-Muslim woman, hired for a waitressing job at
a sports cafe mind being told you have to wear a revealing dress after
some months of employment?

Yes, I would mind. I would refuse to wear the dress, and I would sue if I was fired.

Have you seen the dress?

Yes.

If it was a condition of employment, I wouldn't have taken the job. The point is that she took the job under the assumption that she could wear clothes she was comfortable with, then was told to wear something she wasn't comfortable, and was then fired because she wouldn't.

(Note that I'm not saying the dress is indecent, or that no-one should wear it. I just understand that it's not something that all women would be comfortable wearing - and you can't see the back of the dress from the photo, but it sounded like it was quite open.)

I still think she is looking for a quick buck

She was wearing her own clothes for the first day and then when she was asked to wear the same dress as all the other cocktail waiteresses she refused.

If they have a dress code then she has no leg to stand on

Does that dress look uncomfortable or revealing? I must say, if she was fat then I would still understand, but then again, they wouldn't have asked her to wear the dress. Like I said, I'm positive she has many more of those type dresses in her cupboard (and no, I cannot prove it).

It's not a question of whether she's fat or not - it's not whether you think she would look good in the dress, but whether or not she feels comfortable with it (and remember that she had already been propositioned while working there).

If all the other waitresses were wearing it when she went for interviews, and started working there, then maybe she should have thought twice about accepting the job... but I don't know that that's the case.

I'm pretty positive she doesn't have those types of dresses in her cupboard, and I think your assumption that she does is unwarranted.

This I agree with.

Just the same way you are positive she hasn't, I am positive that she has. Now relax, I wasn't insulting all of woman kind here, the way you make it sound.

????

Please explain that?

Who cares if some women is suing over being fired for not wanting to wear a dress? the only reason it caught peoples attention(those who like to feed Muslim stereotypes) is because she was muslim.
