MWEB admits its "free Wi-Fi" advertising is not accurate

MWEB has admitted that its advertising which promotes free Wi-Fi access at hotspots around the country is incorrect and promised to remove reference to this service.

This advertising appeared on MWEB’s fibre-to-the-home product page, which promoted the benefits of signing up for MWEB’s FTTH service.

Alwayson and Mweb both owned by IS, I think.
So IS buys over Mweb, and cancels the WiFi service offered. Really odd, and hadn't helped Mweb much

So it was free WiFi at Alwayson hotspots in the past?

It's like FON.
I have free FON with my MWEB subscription, but as I do not have a FON enabled router I cannot take advantage of it while out and about.
Plus the fact that MWEB do not offer FON fibre routers either....oh well.
