I find the denial implausible and not only because I have no belief in Hershaw's capacity for honesty. MWEB has a group CEO - Francois Theron. If Naspers was intreted in selling off part of its holding in MWEB Connect (Pty) Ltd it wouldn't be a matter really for Hershaw to deal with. What is really interesting is that if you look at Naspers website MWEB is included with "pay TV" rather the Internet:

My guess is that Naspers have put out feelers to unbundle MWEB Connect and that there is a serious problem in dealing with the ISP arm. Frankly fresh management and a preparedness to actually look into how to make a contribution into the SA Internet space in conjunction with the changes in direction at Telkom are what is needed, a big pile of cash would also help.
