have had a problem with MWeb since last year October to today, I have logged many calls with them and they are just giving me the run around and not resolving my issues.
I am a online gamer and since last year October/November I have issues with the game connecting.
This happens every night at 8pm and last for about 2 to 3 hours.
They first told me that it was a Telkom issues, I logged a ticket with Telkom about three times and evey time they checked and found not error.
Then they told me that it is the game server, I then logged tickets with Gameloft and they too said that the problem is not on their side.
I went back to MWeb evert time and every time I get to the call center where no one can actually help me and they log a time for someone to call me, always for the following week. Then a technical person will called me and still not being able to resolve my problem saying they have escalated to the senior technical person.
I then had to prove to them that this problem is on MWeb’s side by getting and Afrihost prepaid ADSL account.
Every night now when I am playing and it disconnects at 8pm, I have to change to the Afrihost ADSL account and it works! I change it back to MWeb ADSL account and it doesn’t connect, I change it back to Afrihost account and it works!!
I have also noticed that my downloads run very slow at the same time, yet I chance over to Afrihost and like magic, NO PROBLEM!
I have had enough now MWeb, sort your issues out and get back to your customers!!!!!
