MWeb pathetic customer service ADSL Gaming/download issues at 8pm until 10pm

Same issue for at least a week. Afrihost works like a charm, but mweb, tons of jitter here in cape town when i run pingplotter to overseas sites. Its happening right now again with accessing MyB forums.

Seems to only be in the evenings, when everyone is trying to stream (not me), but it's still erratic even with websites.

Hi, please share your comparative traceroute results with me to look into.

I am taking everyones advise and I have cancelled my account today, the cheek is that this will only be done 1st May. I am stuck with this bad service and internet that I can't use for gaming for another month and a half.

Best move ever. When I cancelled MWEB and moved to VOX, it was as liberating as cutting off DSTV.

I've been having the same since I switched over from premium 4meg to 10meg Just phoned mweb and they spin the same story Telekom I switched over to afrihost 1 gig no problems.

Are you having trouble with your entire connection or is it specific to a certain protocol?

LOl jus cancel your service with mweb. You will be super happy if you do. I'm still using my Axxess 40GB account as a test and it works out amazing. Streaming after 12 (don't want to use all my cap so streaming after 12 only) is amazing. Also gaming performance is what it's suppose to be. I'm moving end of this month to a 400GB cap that's more than enough for me and I can now max out my 8mbps line, it's unshaped and I pay less so a win for me. Also the uncap nighttime data makes it a sweat deal. It's also cheaper than MWEB capped adsl and the MWEB capped ADSL is also shaped where Axxess is unshaped

Lucky my line is with Telkom. You guys are doing nothing to solve the problem still same sh it tonight

Yes I know it's your mweb account. This is why I'm suggesting you move to someone else. No need to be loyal or struggling. Same reason why I'm moving to another ISP. I'm not going to struggle with them any more

Hope you learnt a lesson about calander month notice which rules out mweb, webafrica, openweb :)sick:), vox, cybersmart, and maybe telkom, but who knows with them.

People who don't have that crappy policy that I know of are:

Whatever, stop sugar coating clients when you know nothing will change from their point of view as there is a routing issue with telkom that can't be fixed without telkom's help/input and we all know how telkom operates, so it's much easier to do nothing with the guys on the congested route, than actually challenge telkom that there is an issue.
