Mxit had the right idea in 2003-2004, long before Facebook, Whatsapp or even Google had decent IM platforms for mobiles

Their biggest mistake was a failure to develop proper apps without ads and without gimmicky USSD-like menu's. They basically ignored the booming smartphone market - for a long time there were no decent Android or iPhone apps.

Mxit basically had the right idea, but not the vision to mature it into a proper product for adults.

it is now a competitive market. A decade ago you didn't have Facebook, WhatsApp nor WeChat. If I recall correctly mxit made millions per day... They started in 2003 if not mistaken

Mxit was on of the best apps pre whatsapp or when whatsapp was just starting to gain.

Mxit lost it when they changed the app in ways that it no longer represents just a normal social app. That destroyed them. They should have kept it a app just for chatting.

They are dead.

Sure to go broke this year.

The guy who made R400 Million must be smiling now.

Sad for the investors though.

If you don't keep up with Competition you slowly disappear.

2. Obtain Tea
3. Uninstall Mxit
4. Sell Tea.
5. Profit!
