My cheque card got skimmed

What's the point of having bank accounts these days anyway? Fraud, high banking charges...
Come to think of it, you'll actually earn interest on your bucks when kept in a trommel under the bed.

Verified by Visa is a piece of sht....same goes for the Mastercard equivalent. It provides *zero* benefit for the user and quite a bit of hassle. The crooks (being very cunning) just pick a website that is not Verified by Visa enabled. Imagine that.


Its such a f'in hassle though & the banks provide strong incentives to use cards. Plus I kinda like my dirt cheap overdraft.

Already scratched the CVV code off mine...considering getting a 2nd card and killing the magnetic strip on the one. As Noxi says though...won't save you if the POS is infected.

grrr...sometimes it feels like half this country is engaged in fraud, corruption and/or theft.

I switched to Capitec and they use Mastercard Securecode. The thing is only some sites use it. Maybe in time it will be like chip and pin cards, and become the standard. Until then though, I had to sign up for another service with very little benefit.
