So I upgraded to Telkom Home Unlimited on 1 Aug 2017. Up until the weekend of the 9/10 Sep17 all was working 100%. From last weekend my browsing has just gone for a "ball of slowness". Pages take ages to load.
My browser pages loading is extremely slow. This is on both my Macbook's. I have swapped routers, done speedtest; which show acceptable levels of speed (ave 9.7Mbps down & 0.8Mbps up on 10Mbps ADSL).
Hold and below hold I then changed my ISP account to a free 1Gb capped account I have and BINGO! pages are loading 2-7 secs. I then tried another ISP's free 3 day trial account and BINGO! pages loaded correctly again.
It looks like Telkom ISP is shaping my UNCAPPED ISP account, ye I have only used 85Gb this month (FUP should kick-in at 400GB)
Whats is happening?
