I can confirm that the price is all inclusive.

Router wise I received a Zexel SB3300-N which does xDSL, Fibre & Mobile (via usb dongle) with load balancing and failover. I have fibre though.

Thinking of getting the 10mbps homeunlimited deal. I've seen telkom have now included their LITvideo box with the deal. Zero rated streaming on the media box plus a free modem when taking out the contract. 3GB mobile data sim and unlimited landline & telkom mobile calls is really decent. Just skeptical about signing up with them for 24 months. When things go wrong with telkom they go very wrong...

Been with Telkom for years and haven't had many issues. Only issues I'm having at the moment is bad noise on my ADSL line, otherwise the ISP account is a solid product.

Well then don't take the contract and supply your own modem/router.

That is an option but just waiting to hear more about the lit media box. If it's contract only I might just be tempted.

So I upgraded to Telkom Home Unlimited on 1 Aug 2017. Up until the weekend of the 9/10 Sep17 all was working 100%. From last weekend my browsing has just gone for a "ball of slowness". Pages take ages to load.

My browser pages loading is extremely slow. This is on both my Macbook's. I have swapped routers, done speedtest; which show acceptable levels of speed (ave 9.7Mbps down & 0.8Mbps up on 10Mbps ADSL).

Hold and below hold I then changed my ISP account to a free 1Gb capped account I have and BINGO! pages are loading 2-7 secs. I then tried another ISP's free 3 day trial account and BINGO! pages loaded correctly again.

It looks like Telkom ISP is shaping my UNCAPPED ISP account, ye I have only used 85Gb this month (FUP should kick-in at 400GB)

Whats is happening?
