Think I've got more than you!

I've been struggling since December 2006 to get MTN to fix my account - I still get an error when I dial 16202 to get my free minutes & sms's.

When I have a quiet day, I will phone them again.

I'm assuming your getting all these reference numbers for 1 specific problem ?

If so maybe post 1 or maybe a little hint as to what the problem is

Yes, my apologies all. I was using the forum mainly to vent my frustrations.

The reference numbers are all to do with the same issue. I'm trying to get into MTN(in)Active, but keep on getting the following message: Associated business is not registered on MTN active. I have three data cards registered on my company name and would like to monitor the usage of the accounts.

I first reported this issue on 8 Sep 2007 and have been phoning almost every day. On each occasion I was told that the problem would be resolved before the end of the day.

Thank you, but the issue was resolved just after my last post. I got a call from a nice lady who had it all sorted out for me in a matter of minutes.

From this (and previous) experience I've come to the conclusion that MTN's staff are very competent but that their helpdesk systems and processes sometimes let them down. It should not have taken 7 calls from me to raise the priority of the call and get me connected to the correct person.

I’ve been a loyal supporter of MTN since their commercial launch and still believe that their network is the superior network. It’s just that once in a while I get frustrated and agitated.

There is a definitive lack of communication going from the people who actually know the answers to the people who deal with the public. I have not yet made up my mind if this is intentional or not.

Case in point would be the release of the TyTN II. Nobody at MTN can tell me if MTN will be offering this phone with a contract or upgrade or when this will be happening. My clients ask me the same question each and every day. There MUST be SOMEONE at MTN who knows the answer to this question (and you are probably reading this right know).

I know that the general public does not care about TyTN’s and release dates, etc., but there are users like us on this forum who are more informed about what is happening in the world out there where technology is concerned and also have the responsibility to pass this knowledge on to OUR clients. Where do we go to get information from MTN?
