Hi

I just did a speed test local. See results.

http://netgauge.ookla.com/share/624618380.png Used to be very higher 70Plus.

Telkom Speed test:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 30136 kbps (3767 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 5329 kbps (666.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 19 ms
Jitter: 4 ms
‎2017‎/‎02‎/‎16‎ ‎21‎:‎06‎:‎53

My 5 Bar signal has gone down to 3 Bar? Using external antenna not paddle sticks.

My numbers:
RSSI -64
RSRP 92
RSRQ -8

If I subtracted RSSI-RSRP should be 25 or lower. Not anymore.

RSRQ used to be -6 I can see something is terrible wrong.

I saw a Advert For Uncapped LTE. I subscribed did Telkom move me over. But response from Telkom was Tower fully booked. Need to phone in the morning to find out what happened?

My external antenna was 4bars,now 1 or 2bars then every 20 min or so loses signal completely. Unplugged the antenna (not just switched to internal antenna in the settings) and now am at 2or 3 bars. So I think either my router has an issues or its the antenna itself.

Just going to log another unresolved call with Telkom.

My router inexplicably lost two bars of signal (seemingly overnight) a week or so ago on my external antenna. Antenna still looks okay (as far as I can tell) and is still orientated to my closest tower. Router still reported it being connected to a external antenna too. I eventually plugged my paddle antennas back in and I'm back to my original four bars of signal. Either my external antenna is damaged or my router is being stupid or the tower I was aimed no longer supports LTE?

My LTE is working better without the antenna connected. I've still not received any actual feedback from Telkom, supposed to have dispatched field support who should respond in 24-48 hours. even if it only work hours of 8 hours a day, they should have been here by now.

same happens to me - sometimes have 5 bars and then again (B593 router) only 2 or 3
I just assumed the router is jumping between two towers, or being kicked off the stronger tower...

Mine also went stupid.
I was on an average of 18 to 20 Mbps about a week ago, now my average is between 2 and 4 Mbps.
Down from 3 bars to 1. B315 router.

Oh man, happens to me but nowhere near as bad. I got 40 meg at times but swings down to low 5meg on occasion.

When I did my initial test. There was only one tower in my area LTE capable.

I see there is a unlimited uncapped Tower in my area (+/-3km away) all seats taken.

.

I really need fibre to be a thing in my area. my LTE speeds are horrific nowadays, and my 4MB ADSL only used to work on 2MB.

Its tough that I am considering moving houses just for better internet. :D
