For a month now I have been unable to connect to the internet using ADSL.

I have logged faults three times and they are cleared without anyone ever calling me or visiting my house.

The data usage on my ADSL line keeps going up. That means another line is using my ADSL data. It can only be one of two things, incompetence or corruption.

It might be your adsl data details was stolen or password was easily guessed.

Can you do the following:
1. Reset ADSL data password(Telkom support will able to reset and sms you new details)
2. Make sure you change WiFi password,
3. Restrict external connection to router,
4. Add admin password to access router,
5. Reenter your Adsl details you got from sms on router
6. Go online and set a complex password
7. Reenter complex password and Save/Flush.
8. Reboot Router
9. Connect Wifi devices and PC to router.

You should be able to connect.

It's so easy to check...

https://customerportal.telkomsa.net/portal/overview/

Put your username and password in there and log in. At the bottom it says "Current Open Connections" and you can see what line is using your account. No need to speculate.

And if you see someone is using your account, you can even change the password - No need to contact the police! https://online.telkomsa.net/pmt/

Cool , eh ?
