Useless fckers.

I have so many other commitments. A contracted job, my own company, charity group community services portfolio, political education course (which is extensive) and running a local ward. I totally procrastinate on my UNISA stuff until the last day.

Although today DOES count as a submission day - the site SHOULD be available, I completely forgot an assignment a while back - sigh

They usually extend the submission period when stuff like this happens.

In fairness they warn you not to leave it late. Can't blame them when they explicitly tell you to get things in early.

I don't care. Deadline is deadline (I submitted mine yesterday btw). Their infrastructure should be scalable to cope with peak demand. Human nature being what it is...

Thats not fairness. Thats like saying its fair for Eskom to complain about us using more electricity because they havent planned correctly for the right capacity.

If you are going to procrastinate as you have already admitted to doing, it is your fault if you leave your assignment until the due date and you can't get through. Quite simple. Could UNISA do a lot of things better? Yes. BUT, where they have identified a shortfall (server overload in the days approaching assignments deadlines) they have warned their students about it.

I call bull. I'll tell you why - my.unisa has been creaking under the strain ever since I registered this year. Repeated errors on the assignment pages... DOG slow responses all round.
This isn't a load related issue - there's an underlying problem that the load may have exacerbated. Anyway, not all modules have assignments due on the same day - they are pretty spread out.

All I am saying is that while they are not perfect they tell you in EVERY tutorial letter they hand out that you should not leave assignment submissions until the last moment so you can avoid any potential service issues.
